Exciting news landed in the Riso studios pigoen hole a while back...we were awarded some funds from Closing Loops, Pots of Possibility to deliver a Food inspired Zine making project!
The plan is to create a small library of DIY Zines together, cooking up a rich cultural exchange of recipes and food stories to share across our communities.
WHAT WE'LL BE DOING..
Making absorbing & vibrant Risograph printed zines filled with
food stories with a focus on the principles of Food Futures Good Food Manifesto.
HOW WE'LL DO IT...Â
Delivering workshops to groups and delving into the world of zines and DIY publishing. Creating, editing and printing our own, low-fi mini FOOD magazines, for participants to share locally. Â
The zines will explore people’s experience of food, favourite recipes, food memories, nutrition and local suppliers, projects and producers.
Printed at the Morecambe Community Riso Press, a low carbon printing method which produces vibrant results and printed on recycled paper, these will be zines people want to keep, despite being encouraged to share them!
