Charlotte is founder and director of the Riso Press, and co-ordinator of the studios day to day business.
" I facilitate workshops, run the Riso Club, and manage printing jobs for clients. I also work as an illustrator, creating designs for digital media and Riso print.
My own illustration work often explores simple shapes with layering of colour, to create or capture ethereal plants, creatures or muses.
There's always a retro influence in my art, which seems to get stronger the older I get! Luckily Riso print is an ideal accompaniment."

Jack is a designer, writer and printer for the Morecambe Riso Press.
'My practice is focused on design as a tool to support community organisations communication. I design posters, publications, logos, social media graphics and run workshops in graphic design and Riso printing.
I’m a big fan of publication design and am particularly interested in using self publishing as a way to engage with communities. Using design and creativity to enrich local, grass roots culture with zines, flyers and posters, to share experiences, bring people together and promote good things that happen locally.’

Molly is an illustrator, graphic designer and one of the Riso
Press directors.

'I'm usually found at the Riso printer making posters but I also
make zines, prints, branding, murals, books, t-shirts, and installations. I facilitate
workshops in printmaking,
collage and paper crafts.
In my creative practice I often collaborate with community groups to co-create artworks
that reflect local voices and stories. Building from collage
and participatory design, I like
to use playful mark making to communicate ideas based on nature, food, connection
and joy.

Beki and Jo are integral to the manifestation of the Riso Press! Together they run Good Things Collective with total commitment and amazing energy. In 2022 they helped seed the idea, and supplied knowhow and a huge amount of support, to get the Riso Press up and running.
Jo is also one of the Riso Press directors, strategist in development and spread sheet master, alongside an array of creative, refurbishing and building skills. Bekis art practice involves creating experimental foraged pickles and cocktails, sign painting and Riso printing explorative and collaborative prints and zines, alongside creative project management

Ellie is a freelance artist who works upstairs from the Riso Press and is a font of useful info particularly on funding bids!
" I'm part of the Riso Club and use the printer for posters, flyers, learning resources and editioned prints in relation to my practice. I also work as a creative producer at Good Things Collective, and an associate lecturer in Fine Art at Lancaster University.

As a sculptor, writer, researcher and artist-mother, I work closely with my daughter, trying out new ways that children can meaningfully contribute to art making. I'm interested in how sculpture can be a "socially engaged" discipline.
